Putting My Experience
to Work

ABOUT  PATSY

EDUCATOR

I have been an educator for 20 years, 10 of those teaching in Cochise County schools. I held the position of Career and Technical Ed  Director at Bisbee High School, where I also taught Culinary Arts. We ran a successful fund raising club, that taught students entrepreneurial skills. I wrote grants for Career and Tech funding for the entire department and was in charge of determining the CTE budget for all programs which included Business, Culinary and Construction.

As an elementary school teacher, I was successful at raising Reading and Math scores of 3rd and 4th grade students at 3 County Elementary Schools. I achieved this by creating a rigorous curriculum and a nurturing classroom environment where children thrived.

I wrote grants that provided funds for books and playground equipment. I am very proud of the Lowes grant I received which provided funds to rejuvenate the Bowie Elementary Library.

REALTOR/NOTARY

The skills a good Realtor needs are similar to that of a good teacher. I have perfected my ability to be a problem solver, to have patience and to be diplomatic. I became a licensed Realtor and Notary Public in January of 2020 out of an interest to meet people and provide them with quality services. When our bank closed in Pearce, it became difficult for people to get notary services without driving 30 to 40 minutes to Willcox or Benson. From 2020 thru 2023, I provided this service 7 days a week and often travelled to home bound clients. I truly enjoy people and this area is full of wonderful people who love it here as much as I do. Cochise County is an extraordinary place and I am always excited to share the beauty of our county with others.

ENTREPRENEUR

I inherited the business "bug" from my maternal grandfather, who had many successful businesses over his lifetime: a farm, a mercantile, a meat market and a restaurant. He was the Mayor of his town in the Ukraine before immigrating in 1936. A brilliant, stoic, and spirited man, Alex Zin never let adversity hold him back. He was a great problem solver and innovator. I am proud to have inherited his spirit and accumen for business.

My first business began the year after graduating from high school. I opened a health food store in my home town. Next came a bakery, a paint & design business, and finally, a full service restaurant in Cochise.

I have gained a first hand understanding of the difficulties and problems business owners struggle through, sometimes daily, to stay afloat in tough markets. They are the backbone of our communities and their spirit is truly what this country is built upon.

ARTIST

My first degree is in Fine Arts. I love art in all forms: photography, painting & drawing, sculpture, music, writing and design. I have enjoyed sharing these skills in the classroom and I continue to practice creative pursuits daily. My husband and  I CHOSE to live here because of the beauty and peacefulness. I have traveled and lived in many places and countries. For me, none can compare to the rugged beauty of Cochise County. I am finally home!

The Bottom Line

I am an Independent candidate, who will represent and work for EVERY citizen in the County regardless of their  party affiliation.  I LOVE Cochise County and will work hard to preserve the special place that it is while increasing future opportunities for our communities.
